What is Kiteboarding?
Kiteboarding is what it sounds like. A rider uses an oversized kite to glide over the water and soar through the air with a modified surfboard, called a kiteboard, strapped to his or her feet.
With the guidance of our Professional Air Sports Association certified kiteboarding instructors, you will learn to kiteboard in a fun, safe environment. Lessons will provide you with the information necessary to get you out on the water, enjoying the freedom that kiteboarding provides.

269.639.7873 Our sessions run four hours and start whenever there is enough wind. A kiteboarding instructor will call you a day or two before the lesson and set up the best time based on the weather forecast.
A typical kiteboarding lesson consists of:
• 40 minutes of classroom instruction
• 20 minutes of trainer kite testing
• 30 minutes of kiteboarding equipment setup procedures
• 30 minutes of self-rescue and launching techniques
• 30 minutes of body dragging and upwind body dragging
• 90 minutes of water starts, riding and more
We customize every kiteboarding lesson to fit each student. Eager students come to us with many different levels of experience, and all our kiteboarding instructors are excellent at thinking of unique and efficient teaching methods tailored to each individual. Our lead instructor has worked with more than 500 students, and all our instructors have thorough wakeboarding experience, helping students get up on the water even faster.
Lessons book fast, but with four kiteboarding instructors on the Sharkless staff, we will find time for everyone who wants to ride. In addition to the awesome experience you get learning with Sharkless, we will subtract the cost of your lesson cost from your first kiteboarding equipment package. That way we rest easy knowing we are getting everyone into the sport safely.
Sharkless also offers a kiteboarding wind guarantee. If we start a lesson and the wind fades, we reschedule the lesson at no extra charge. If for any reason you can’t come back for a rescheduled kiteboarding lesson, we can convert your lesson payment into store credit.
